Full-Figured Women

Unfortunately, there is a social stigma against full-figured women wearing swimwear. One may be surprised to know that there are women who refuse to own a bathing suit, just because they are full figured. These women do not even feel it is possible to look great in one, so they completely avoid going swimming. If they do, it is typically in a full black bathing suit, or something along those lines that completely covers them from neck to toe. This does not only get in the way of their social lives, but can potentially ruin it. Having full figured women looking sexy in swimwear is not only possible, it happens more than women tend to realize. A problem most full figured ladies face is that they are looking for tons of material to drape their bodies. In reality, the only problem is that a woman thinks she has to hide her figure at all. Every woman from a small frame to a large frame has a unique body shape, and bathing suits will sit differently on each one; therefore, there are a few tips to keep in mind while searching for the perfect bathing suit.

Colors and patterns are very important in all types of apparel, especially when it comes to wearing a bathing suit. Every woman has to find a suit that fits her unique size and shape. If a woman has larger hips for instance, and wants to make them appear smaller than is possible. A bathing suit that is one color and has black patters near the hip area helps to create a smaller illusion. Unfortunately there are many women who would opt for a dark one dimensional bathing suit piece, because they think it helps them appear thinner. It is not about trying to appear thinner, but rather trying to accent the right parts of that woman's body. However, women do have to be careful about accenting the right areas. For instance, if there is not enough material in the buttocks area, the material can ride up causing exposure. Not only can this be embarrassing, but painfully annoying as well. Another area that needs to have enough material to be covered is the chest. Some designers will try to add padding or a bra to a bathing suit so it will look better. A bra that lifts and separates could make one look great, but extra padding may only give the appearance of extra weight. Above all, it is most vital to be comfortable in the suit that is chosen.

Many full figured women will feel constrained to a one-piece suit, because in the past that seemed to over take the market. Having a barely covering bathing suit may not be every woman's forte, but there are two piece suits that offer more coverage. Chic sheer jackets for women to wear over a swimsuit near a pool are also produced. The most important thing for a full-figured woman wanting to be sexy in swimwear is for her to feel as comfortable as possible.
